Giftrete is an online platform that connects individuals in need with those willing to give. Through various communities on the Giftrete website, we promote giving and receiving of needed items thereby meeting the immediate needs of users. This platform creates a gift network (rete) of new and reusable gift items for individuals and organisations with the aim of reducing wastes, alleviating poverty and impacting climate change.

There are two ways to join the Giftrete. It is either you are invited or you go directly to the Giftrete website and join using the 'create account' button. The actual steps are outlined below:

Steps to join giftrete when invited:

1. Get/Receive the invite link to join giftrete
2. Click on the link/button or copy the url and paste it in a browser
3. On the gitrete create account page, you should fill in your required details
4. Click on Submit
5. Receive email that your account is set up and ready to use

Steps to join giftrete directly:

1. Type the url www.giftrete.com in a browser and click enter
2. On the home page, click on the 'create' button to access register form
3. Fill in your required details in the form
4. Click on Submit
5. Receive email that your account is set up and ready to use

There are different things to do on the Giftrete website:

1. You can create a community (public, closed or private) or join an existing community
2. You can give out new or preowned gift item
3. You can receive new or preowned gift item
4. You can create a wishlist for yourself or for someone else
5. You can post gift items in your community(s) so people can bid for it and then you pick a winner

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
3. Click on "Contact Us" and you will find ways to contact Giftrete

Lady Gift is Giftrete’s Chatbot that provide users with assistance on how to navigate through the website and benefit from the platform.

You can report a user via the "Contact Us" feature

1. Click on "Contact Us"
2. Fill in your details
3. On the message field, provide the user's details
4. Explain what happened
5. A member of the team will respond to your message as soon as possible

Sent invite is a list of all your sent invitations and their status, this is where you see all friends and family already invited, who among them has used the link and who is pending.

Send an invitation or request sent to join Giftrete and start impacting their world positively.

To search for a friend on the platform:

1. Log in to your Giftrete account
2. Click on search icon
3. Click on 'find people'
4. Enter friend's name in search box
5. Click on search button
6. The name and profile of the friend should be displayed

Please note that this is applicable only to a registered member and you will only be able to find already invited and registered friends.
